Steel Core. Nickel Chromium Wound, Nickel Plated Ball End. These are excellent professional cello strings. Their sound and playability is somewhat between Jargar Classic and Thomastic Spirocore Chrom. The C string is better than Jargar. The A string is better than Spirocore. Very balanced set!
